Notice of Funding Opportunity: CLEAR Corruption from Montenegro

The International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Section at the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica announces an open competition for project proposals that support advocating and shaping national anti-corruption policies, strategy, and anti-corruption measures; spotlighting corruption, particularly in the public sector and among public service providers; and building citizen support of, and demand for, anti-corruption reform of government institutions in Montenegro. Countering corruption is an INL priority goal and is inextricably linked to almost all of INL’s work globally. Through this call for applications from Montenegrin civil society organizations, Embassy Podgorica aims to increase Montenegrin civil society engagement with the public and government to combat corruption and strengthen the rule of law for: C: corruption-free, and L: law-abiding public officials; E: engaged citizens; A: accountable, and R: resilient institutions. Project proposals should address at least one of the following objectives: • Reducing public corruption by high-level public officials. • Increased citizen awareness of public corruption. • Decreased societal tolerance for public corruption. • Strengthening control mechanisms against corruption in public institutions.
