For over a decade, Dr Swati Murthy has been leading a journey towards achieving net zero across the whole value chain at TCS. Having been leading sustainability initiatives at Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS ) for over 10 years, Dr Swati Murthy and her team have managed to deploy an array of digital transformation measures that look to cut environmental impact across the value chain. The tech leader led the creation of a department dedicated to boosting sustainability globally, combining carbon reporting, Environmental, Social and Governance ( ESG ) and energy management components to help operations across multiple sectors towards reaching net zero . Strong collaboration between all departments, and indeed between all stakeholders involved including customers and partner organisations, has proved key to advancing towards TCS’s target to achieve net zero emissions by 2030.
