Fast forward to 2023 and the maritime industry finds itself equally in the thrall of a more modern breed of mythical monster as it faces one of the most turbulent periods in its long history. These monsters appear in the stories we tell ourselves about the uncharted waters of digital transformation today, revealing our fears of what a tech-dominated future might look like – and how we might navigate a safe route to get there.
