Schneider Electric , the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has unveiled key insights from the Schneider Electric™ Sustainability Research Institute (SSRI) at the COP28 United Nations Climate Summit. The same way SSRI’s global climate research has outlined the untapped potential of electrification, energy efficiency and circularity, this latest independent study presents insights into how the Middle East can accelerate decarbonization as the region modernizes, as well as the decoupling between emissions and economic wealth. The resulting outcomes reduce carbon usage significantly. The results of the study were presented at a high-level gathering on the sidelines of COP28, hosted by Schneider Electric’s CEO, Peter Herweck and Chairman, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, where over 100 leaders from business, industry, government, and civil society came together to foster stronger collaboration for an accelerated and fair energy transition. By sharing this data, Schneider Electric aims to raise awareness of solutions that are already available, yet not optimally implemented to maximize decarbonization and impact climate, economic and social progress. “Growing ecosystem partnerships that support each other in the transition to Net Zero are going to be key moving forward,” said Herweck . “With the power of collaborative intelligence and technology, we […]
