In a request for qualifications and experience (RFQ&E) released Monday , the Sacramento County Department of Airports seeks information on digital transformation consulting services from private-sector companies. The county department oversees the operations of four airports: the Executive Airport and Sacramento International Airport (SMF), both in Sacramento; Mather Airport, in Mather; and Franklin Field in Elk Grove. The county’s elected Board of Supervisors oversees Department of Airports operations. Among the takeaways: Sacramento County wants to hear from qualified digital transformation consulting firms to help it integrate digital technology into multiple aspects of SMF operations. The scope of work includes surveying existing systems and applications that “could be considered a step toward digital transformation”; and offering advice on possible areas of digital transformation.
