New NCC EVC, Maida Pledges Alignment with Tinubu’s Digital Transformation Agenda

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) welcomes Dr. Aminu Maida as the new Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) with a commitment to advancing the country’s digital transformation agenda in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. In his inaugural address to the Senior Management team of the Commission at its Abuja Headquarters on Tuesday, Maida articulated his strategic vision to ensure nationwide access to affordable and reliable broadband services, thereby amplifying Nigeria’s digital infrastructure. Highlighting the need for a comprehensive digital roadmap, Maida stressed the significance of bolstering broadband connectivity to facilitate not only seamless digital transactions but also serve as a cornerstone for e-governance and other critical socio-economic initiatives.
