"Much Uncertainty" Surrounds the $339 Million for Digital Transformation in Puerto Rico. In an initial meeting, several technology development experts on the island voiced concerns, challenges, and possible scenarios amid the ongoing freeze of funds. For several leaders in the government, academic, and business sectors, 2025 represents a beacon of hope for securing funds to drive Puerto Rico’s digital transformation. Atlantic University hosted "Agenda 2025: Strengthening the Digital Economy of Puerto Rico," a gathering of experts in technology development on the island. Among the attendees was Resident Commissioner Pablo José Hernández Rivera, who took note of the concerns raised by technology professionals. The event, led by Dr. Zayira Jordán Conde, president of Atlantic University, and Laura Maristany, founder and CEO of Katch Skills, highlighted the importance of digitalization for the future of Puerto Rico’s business and labor sectors.
