This has prompted the PGI administration to consider a major restructuring of the team in charge. Sources close to the development said that the administration is dissatisfied with the slow pace of progress and is now planning to replace the current leadership to expedite the project. HIS 2 system is designed to integrate and automate patient registration, appointment scheduling, test report collection, and queue management across all departments at PGI. The system is crucial for improving operational efficiency, especially considering PGI’s large patient base that includes not only residents of Chandigarh but also patients from neighbouring states like Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
