Global customers have not paused digital journeys despite cost-cutting measures

Enterprise clients of technology companies need increasingly specialised solutions and there is a growing demand for an allied ecosystem to enable these solutions across sectors (Rahul Awasthi) Despite the macro-focus on cost-cutting and reprioritisation of spends, global customers have not yet paused their digital transformation journeys and demand is expected to remain in the near term, said industry leaders speaking during the Nasscom technology and leadership forum 2023 . Global thought leaders and CXOs stated the future will be increasingly driven by human and AI interactions which will enable enterprise spend on technology. In a conversation with Krishnan Ramanujam , chairperson, NASSCOM, the chief executive of FedEx Dataworks Sriram Krishnasamy said that enterprises are working closely with service providers to build long-term solutions for supply chain visibility which become more critical during an uncertain economic environment. “A physical-first company should also think about integrating a digital mindset – but not implement technology for technology’s sake – identify the problem first, the tech will follow,” said Krishnaswamy, adding that collaborating with service providers to improve and automate supply chain visibility is essential for businesses.
