Fibre infrastructure group Altitude announced its participation in a smart-city project led by France’s Grand Est region, which recently received a EUR 2.6 million government grant as part of the country’s ‘Investing in the Future’ funding programme (known as PIA, Programme d’Investissements d’Avenir). With an overall budget of EUR 6.6 million, this new initiative aims to pilot a data management platform that a dozen municipalities will use in areas including lighting, security, waste, and mobility.
