Exclusive: Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro says Tron coaster is start of more to come

Josh D’Amaro , The Walt Disney Co. chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, is counting down the 29 days left until Walt Disney World debuts Tron Lightcycle/Run, its newest attraction at the Magic Kingdom theme park in Orlando. The coaster will debut April 4, adding yet another feather to Disney’s cap for thrill seekers as well as providing more buzz for Central Florida’s tourism and travel industry, which sees surges in visitation when new theme park attractions open. D’Amaro, in an exclusive visit on March 6 to the new attraction with Orlando Business Journal , is excited about what the new attraction means for the parks and its future. Why this matters: Walt Disney World is Central Florida’s largest single-site employer with more than 75,000 employees.
