Egyptian Petroleum Sector Advances Digital Transformation, Strategic Partnerships

The second day of EGYPES 2025, marked the signing of several agreements that focused on digital transformation, natural gas, and capacity building. The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has signed a cooperation agreement with CISCO, an international technology leader, to establish a unified data center in the petroleum sector, aligning with the EGPC vision in achieving digital transformation and benefiting from cloud computing for reducing the operation costs and support decision-making by providing the necessary information and data security. The agreement was signed by Salah Abdel Kerim, CEO of EGPC, and Mohamed Kamel, CEO of Cisco Egypt, in the presence of Iman Wafy, Assistant CEO of EGPC for Information Technology & Telecommunications. EGPC has also signed several cooperation protocols with Nalco Water Downstream aimed at boosting operational efficiency and advancing digital transformation in the oil and gas sector. This protocol aims to provide technical support for ongoing and new projects related to water source assessment, water recovery, recycling, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. The cooperation also focuses on optimizing energy consumption and reducing emissions.
