Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology discussed with Shri Ashwini, Federal Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and India in the field of communications and IT. This comes within the framework of Talaat’s visit to India to participate in the ministerial meeting on the digital economy, which is part of the G20 work. The meeting dealt with ways to activate the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed between the two countries last January. Also, the two minister discussed mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of electronics manufacturing and building digital capabilities by strengthening cooperation between the training institutions of the two ministries, as well as enhancing cooperation in the field of digital infrastructure that supports the digital transformation process, which includes digital payments.
