The professor of information systems and strategy at the Indian Institute of Management — Ahmedabad believes CIOs are well positioned to transform themselves into business leaders by delivering digital transformation amid a rising tide of high-profile challenges. He has previously taught for many years at Michigan State University and the University of Arkansas in the US. According to Dr Setia, as digital strategy and models are becoming crucial for an organization’s survival and growth, the boundaries between IT and business leadership are also getting blurred.
