City selects top graduates to join digital transformation

The graduate programme has attracted applications from more than 790 graduates. “The graduate programme has attracted more than 790 applicants from universities across the Western Cape. Earlier this month the City selected 13 amazing young people with various degrees ranging from Astrophysics to Engineering and Computer Science, to Industrial Psychology. “The graduates are from the CPUT, UWC, and UCT and I’m excited to be leading this journey of digital change and growth with the youth. Through this programme, the City provides the candidates with a 24-month internship and the opportunity to learn from the best professionals in the City and gain work experience. “What I hope to see from these candidates are flexibility, an inquisitive mind, a willingness to learn and grow, creative and innovative thinking, and a problem-solving attitude,” said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys. The 13 candidates are from all over Cape Town – from Hout Bay, Southfield, Kuils River, Montana, Philippi East, and Mitchells Plain, to Elsies River, Goodwood, Delft, and Bellville. […]
