Capgemini acquires data firm Syniti

Capgemini, a Paris-headquartered technology consulting firm, has agreed to acquire Syniti, a Boston-based provider of enterprise data management software and services. Founded in 1996, Syniti is a global partner for large-scale SAP data migrations, including to SAP S/4HANA. The firm has more than 1,200 employees supporting large companies with managing complex data quality, migration, and governance initiatives. It provides strategy and implementation consulting, managed services, and software solutions. The Syniti Knowledge Platform is the firm’s premier cloud-based data management platform. It is an SAP Endorsed App that has been sold under the name SAP Advanced Data Migration & Management by Syniti. Capgemini ’s acquisition of Syniti will expand its SAP transformation capabilities and its US footprint. The transaction, which is slated to close in the coming months, will see private equity owner Bridge Growth Partners exit Syniti after approximately seven years. “Syniti and Capgemini share the philosophy that digital transformation will always require data transformation to drive critical business benefits,” said Aiman Ezzat, CEO of the Capgemini Group. “Syniti is a leader in its field and a trusted global partner for major SAP data migrations.
