Pascual joined on Tuesday the CEO Dialogue on the Philippines alongside President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and other members of the country’s economic team on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. During the dialogue, Pascual discussed the country’s trade and investment priorities aimed at uplifting the lives of Filipinos and attracting strategic trade and investments in the Philippines, especially in renewable energy, high-tech manufacturing, and innovation sectors. “To further attract investments in the Philippines, it is imperative that we facilitate industrial transformation that will complement our economic recovery initiatives. (Alliance News) – Doxee Spa has announced that it has entered into an investment agreement with Simest Spa aimed at supporting the internationalization of the company and its Austrian subsidiary Doxee CEE Gmbh. The agreement aims to obtain from Simest a dual support since it will act as both lender and shareholder – in both cases, up to a maximum of EUR2 million – through the entry with a minority stake in the share capital of the Austrian subsidiary established in August, with capital wholly owned by Doxee, after the transfer – which took place on Wednesday – from Doxee to Doxee CEE of the shareholding representing 90% of the share capital of Infinica Gmbh. In a statement on Thursday, the DTI said that the Negosyo Center Program Management Unit under its Regional Operations Group has partnered with the PJLI to further promote ease of doing business amid surging digitalization. PJLI is the parent firm of micro-financial services provider Cebuana Lhuillier, which offers pawning, remittance, micro-insurance, and micro savings. Under the partnership, the DTI will feature a website called “MSME Business and Shared Services Center” that will assist MSMEs with their financial requirements such as financing, micro-insurance, micro-investments, business advisory, and payment and settlement options. The partnership between DTI and PJLI was finalized via the signing of a memorandum of understanding. The website will be accessible in any web browser and across kiosks in selected Cebuana Lhuillier branches.
