India’s second-largest information technology company Infosys has announced an extension of its collaboration with Posti, a leading delivery and logistics services provider in Finland, Sweden, and the Baltics. The renewed engagement will see Infosys leverage its artificial intelligence (AI)-driven approach, powered by its generative AI offering, Infosys Topaz, to enhance Posti’s customer experience and operational efficiency. Infosys will also utilise its cloud-enabled Infosys Cobalt platform to deliver NextGen Application Management Services through the Live Enterprise Application Management Platform (LEAP). This will support Posti’s cloud transformation journey, helping the company scale its IT operations and drive business productivity, the company said in a statement. New Delhi, Indian IT major Infosys on Tuesday said it has entered into a long-term collaboration with British community bank Metro Bank to digitise the bank’s operations. The collaboration will utilise Infosys Topaz, the firm’s AI-first offerings, to enhance Metro Bank’s digital capabilities, improve automation , refine data, and embed further AI capabilities . This will assist the bank in increasing efficiency and saving costs, a regulatory filing said. "At the end of this transformation, we will be a very different business, but the true essence of Metro Bank will remain the same — a high-quality service organisation putting customers centre-stage," Metro Bank CEO Daniel Frumkin said. The bank expects to deliver 80 million pounds of annualised cost savings this year across multiple initiatives, as it progresses towards the target of reaching mid-to-high teen return on tangible equity by 2027, he added. RD Vial, which manages the toll system in the Caribbean country, recently announced it was implementing a digital transformation of its operation, replacing outdated equipment with new readers and transponders/tags from SSI. “Using the Paso Rápido transponder and dedicated lanes, traffic flow on major highways is greatly enhanced," says Keither de la Cruz, technology advisor and innovation project manager at RD Vial. "This reduces travel time and improves traveller experience across the Dominican Republic.” RD Vial is using SSI’s Tarvos Pro, a high-speed, multi-protocol integrated reader in many toll stations.
