At Shivaami, women lead the digital transformation process

Shivaami aims to help businesses in driving digital change in the post-pandemic world. Scores of women now shape that digital future. Chetana Chaudhari, CTO of Shivaami believes bringing women in technology can work wonders in an otherwise male-dominated field. When Punit Thakkar became an entrepreneur in 1997, he was clear he wanted to do something around the internet. However, the late 1990s was not really the internet age in India and few wanted to start an internet venture. “In 1997, not many talked about the internet, but I have been an internet enthusiast from the 1990s and I wanted to improve lives by harnessing the power of digital. I started a digital agency that was primarily doing web designing. I started with multimedia CD-ROMS and then moved to web designing since that was the need of the hour at that point,” says Thakkar.
