VIENTIANE, 25 October 2024 – The Second ASEAN Digital Senior Officials’ Meeting and ASEAN Telecommunications Regulators’ Council (ADGSOM – ATRC) Leaders’ Retreat of 2024 took place on 23-25 August in Vientiane, Lao PDR. The three-day event, chaired by Lao PDR as ATRC Chair for 2024, called for continuing the digital transformation momentum among the ASEAN Member States in order to achieve the goals set out in the ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2025. Specifically, the meeting finalised the project proposals slated for implementation in the 2025 Work Cycle and the cooperation projects or activities with dialogue partners namely China, Japan, APT and Russia for the 2024-2025 work cycle. The meeting also discussed the preparations for the 5th ADGSOM, 5th ADGMIN and related meetings to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on 13-17 January 2025. The meeting recognised the collective dedications and accomplishments from the ASEAN Member States have greatly contributed to maintaining this momentum and ensuring that the efforts provide meaningful benefits for ASEAN as a whole .
