Fifteen of 15 Argentina’s 23 provinces and more than 100 municipalities have adopted the open government digital tools that are made available by the innovation secretariat, which is part of the cabinet office and is responsible for the digital transformation of the public sector. "There are provinces such as Santa Cruz that are adopting our entire digital ecosystem, from the management of files to remote processing to connect with citizens, and there are other cases where we are working on specific implementations of certain components,” innovation secretary Micaela Sánchez Malcolm told BNamericas during the Innovar event held on Friday at the Casa Rosada presidential palace. In the last 12 months, work on digital transformation has not only been stepped up in the provinces but also in municipalities. “We’re already implementing the cloud solution and digital file management in more than 100 municipalities,” said Sánchez Malcolm.
