The company already has editions for manufacturing, construction, distribution, service industry, and retail management, as well as a general business edition. The decision to add a professional services offering was prompted by the surprising discovery that this type of company already represents Acumatica’s fourth largest vertical. The existence of such a large segment within its install base is explained in part by Acumatica’s popularity in the construction industry, where services companies adjacent to the construction industry, such as consultants specializing in engineering, architecture and construction project management, had become users alongside their clients. Juliane Rossi, Product Manager, Professional Services, says this made it an easy decision to go ahead: This showed us a clear need for a dedicated edition, so we can improve on their customer needs and solve directly the nuances of the project and resource management requirements that these types of companies have.
