WhatsApp Image 2024-11-05 at 12.20.47 UK-based energy revenue management company, SteamaCo, has merged with Nigerian digital energy solutions provider, Shyft Power Solutions. The merger, announced on Tuesday, coincides with a fresh funding round led by Equator VC, along with Praetura Ventures and KawiSafi Ventures, all of whom are prominent investors in African and climate technology. It marks a strategic union of two pioneering firms in advanced metering, set to enhance grid-connected solutions and broaden customer reach across Africa. “Distributed energy resources like solar home systems and mini-grids are critical to addressing this energy access crisis. “With our combined expertise, the newly formed SteamaCo-Shyft entity aims to support power providers in implementing data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, streamline revenue management, and reduce downtime,” a statement from the companies noted.
