Improves server environment. Japan’s leading life insurance company, Dai-ichi Life Insurance has advanced automation to optimise processes and address IT talent shortage. Dai-ichi Life Insurance’s Eita Yoshidome, a Fellow in the IT Planning Department said, “Automating our on-premise environments is a key initiative to further accelerate our business in the future.” It has been streamlining to improve its server environment using server virtualisation and hyper-converged infrastructure. The company has been working on a hybrid cloud to meet diverse needs, and using multi-clouds to enhance digital and customer experience, while keeping crucial contract information managed on-premises. Dai-ichi Life chose Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform as their automation configuration management tool that also allows the team to write processes using a YAML playbook, and meet IT infrastructure needs for highest levels of stability and uniformity. The firm can use it not only for server setup tasks, but also for automating operational tasks, enabling several units to be handled simultaneously and eliminating the need for manual intervention in operations.
