In the past few months, we have seen how the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. continues to push for e-governance through digital transformation. Several policies and innovations were put in place to realize this. One of the e-Government technology projects of the Department of Information and Communication Technology is the eGov PH App that will help streamline government processes and transactions. POSTER FROM THE EGOV.PH WEBSITE In previous articles, I discussed some pieces of legislation that are needed for e-governance, including Republic Act 10844 or the law that created the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT). Because of this law, we now have a central agency primarily focused on pushing for e-governance in the country. Without the DICT, all digital transformation efforts by the government will be short-lived and lack long-term planning and sustainable effort. Another important law is RA 11032 or the "Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018," which created the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), where I served as the first director general.
