The company has not said how many job cuts it is planning but said it was seeking a reduction in staffing levels across its editorial functions. "Our vision is to evolve into an industry-leading future-fit news organisation, with investment in new resources, technology, skills, and systems," Mediahuis said in a statement. "This will need to be delivered by being more efficient and by stopping some of the work that we have done in the past," the company said. Mediahuis said it was seeking voluntary redundancies as part of its ongoing digital transformation programme, and in light of the challenging macroeconomic environment and changing consumer behaviour.
