Economic Outlook: Volatility Can Create Opportunity

With 2023 underway, lots of questions are in the air concerning the economy, as interest rates remain volatile, the stock market grinds forward, and company earnings results are being closely watched. To help address those questions, the Business Courier held a forum, “The Economics of Uncertainty,” on Jan. 19 at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cincinnati. David Koh, managing director and senior investment strategist for the Chief Investment Office within Bank of America Corp. was the event’s Keynote speaker. Joining Koh was a panel of local business and economic experts: Kimm Lauterbach, president and CEO of economic development agency REDI Cincinnati; Jeff Rodgers, chief financial officer of Tire Discounters; and Raul Villar, chief executive officer of Paycor.
