On Monday, January 30th, the Office of the Provost and the TLT Center hosted a thought-provoking Impact Talk on "Digital Transformation: Closing the Digital Gap in Higher Education". More than 80 Seton Hall community members gathered for the event which showcased a panel of prominent industry leaders known for guiding organizations through cutting-edge technological initiatives. The panel included Ashish Parmar, chief information officer at Tapestry; Jennifer Sparrow, Ed.D., senior manager for higher ed business development at Amazon Web Services; Richard Sparrow, associate vice president and global chief information security officer at New York University; and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Professor and Adobe Pedagogical Evangelist, Todd Taylor, Ph.D. Provost Katia Passerini, Ph.D. , began the event by examining digital transformation from global, organizational, and user perspectives. Through the lens of technology adoption frameworks, Provost Passerini further discussed the importance of aligning business and IT strategies with organizational and IT infrastructure, processes, and skills.
