Three projects on one property were added to this month’s update of Project Watch from Louisville Business First. Project Watch is an online mapping tool LBF launched several years ago. The map tracks commercial real estate projects in the Louisville area of $3 million or more that have been proposed or are under construction. The latest update takes the number of projects on the map to over 200 active or proposed developments. Some projects that have been completed were removed during this update. The Merchant’s Ice Tower property is being redeveloped into a couple different new businesses for the Smoketown neighborhood, a project that’s anticipated to be around $70 million once completed. Local firm Beargrass Development is planning to convert the 13-story Merchant’s Ice Tower structure, located at 801 Logan St., into an office building with a retail component. James Duffy, co-owner for Beargrass Development, said the building could feature ground-level retail, along with a rooftop space for a bar or restaurant.
